Corporate Team Building in Orange County

Ropes Course Team Building Orange CountyWe realize that Corporate Team Building doesn’t immediately jump out as a bachelor party related activity. We happen to think that it’s the perfect type of activity for your next bachelor or bachelorette party. We DO have a vested interest in this… cause we run corporate team building events as a separate business. That just means we’re bringing our kick awesome expertise to the table!

What can Team Building offer my party?

Challenge! Every group likes a good challenge or competition. We can structure events for you that are cooperative or competitive. Either way, you’ll push, struggle, and laugh your way to a trophy or goal. Along the way you’ll find out a little bit more about yourselves, the groom, and be a stronger group for having the experience. A bachelor party should focus on memories rather than secrets.

What type of Team Building Activities are there?

Throwdown rally – A scavenger hunt style event that blends elements of Survivor and The Amazing Race.

High Ropes Adventure – Take your group up on  a high ropes course. It’s like an obstacle course 40 feet off the ground. Does your group have what it takes to make it through?

Tactical Takedown – In the scenario based shooting simulator theres a TWIST…. if you miss, the belt you’re wearing delivers a physical SHOCK. Can you fight through the pain to rescue the hostage? Save the day? Will you be able to depend on your team mates?

Other team building ideas in Orange County or Los Angeles include Graffiti Art lessons, scavenger hunt, surf lessons, and more. Best Drinks for the Bachelor Party

tequilaWhat is the perfect drink for the bachelor party? The debate has bounced off the walls of many a man cave and still we are no closer to an answer.  The perfect drink is an elusive prey, a fickle mistress, and a muse worth seeking.  In hopes of easing your troubled man mind, we reached out to some of the men(and one woman) tied to the wedding industry and put the question to them. Hoping… that their answers might bring peace to those bands of men wandering from bar to bar in celebration of the groom’s impending matrimony.  Read what they had to say about the perfect bachelor party drink: Continue reading →

Utterly Engaged Snap, Crackle, Pop New Year’s Party

James and I put on our party clothes and went to the Utterly Engaged Snap, Crackle, Pop New Year’s Party held at the beautiful Aria Hotel in Long Beach.  We arrived early to help the lovely Lucia and Henny fill their goodie bags for the guests.

The party featured their 2nd annual design challenge, once again the talent was amazing – you will have to wait to their next issue comes out to see the winning table.

So nice to catch up with friends and meet some new folk in the industry.  We were treated to late-night breakfast and beverages hosted by Avia Hotel, Organic Ice-cream from Sweet Lucie’s, Dessert Bar from Honey Bee Sweeterie and mini donuts from Dough A Deer – my sweet tooth was satisfied.

Bachelorette Party Tip of the Day #4 – Planning Ahead of Time

Planning ahead of Time

Plan your bachelorette event two to three  months time prior to the big night or weekend – this will give you and those invited to get prepared, save up money, and you’ll insure that your going to get the reservations you want.

Bachelorette Party Quick Tip – Choosing your Guest List

    Guest List

Always consult the bride when deciding the guest list. She knows best when it comes to mixing work friends with childhood friends, and family with friends. Nothing would be worse that to have someone she didn’t want come to the party. Another thing to consider is the party activities and whether the people you’re inviting are a good choice for that. Chocolate making might not be good for the bride’s diabetic mother.

      Vendor Love – Bitter Sweet

Bittersweet , owned by the talented Danielle, is an online company offering a modern take on old-fashioned ice cream and dessert creations. Bittersweet brings new life to a time past but not forgotten.   Using the finest local ingredients, producing every item from scratch and combining unique flavors  Bittersweet presents you with a treat that exceeds your childhood memories.  Feeling Hungry?  You will be after seeing a few of her goodies.  Danielle is currently a contestant on Top Chef Just Desserts – keep an eye out for her and her confections.    Beware of a sugar rush.

What is your favorite Sweet Treat at the moment?
S’more whoopie pies that my company Bittersweet makes. I fancy anything with a marshmallow!
What dessert trend are you seeing at the moment for weddings?
Dessert tables. They can bring elements you normally wouldn’t see at a wedding (i.e. ice cream) and provide something beautiful and interactive for your guests to enjoy.
What FireFly package would you pick for your bachelorette party?
      The D.J. lessons! If I wasn’t a pastry chef I would want to be a D.J.
Name 3 famous people you’d invite on your bachelorette party? Why?
Keri Russell because she is the kind of person you would want as a best friend. I would want it to be co-ed so I want Kiefer Sutherland there because he knows how to have a good time but he could protect us if things get a little too crazy and Conan O’Brien because we need someone to make us laugh!
What’s your most outrageous wedding memory, either one you have planned or one you have been a guest?
After getting smashed with a piece of cake the bride smashed a whole tier in the grooms face. :/
Which wedding are you: Beach, Mountain, Forest, or Countryside?
I think the perfect wedding would be to get married on the beach, have the reception on a vineyard and the after party in a modern home in Palm Springs. So I will say all of the above!
If you could give one piece of wedding advice to a couple, what would that be………..?
Keep it simple! Don’t get overwhelmed by details. Your family and friends just want to support you on your happy day. Keep things relaxed so you can enjoy your time with them.

Bachelorette Party Idea: Pole Dancing Classes

Pole dancing lessons are a perfect match for your bachelorette party. You will feel a bit silly for about five minutes, and then you will have an unbelievably playful experience. Not only will you awaken your inner naughty kitten, you will feel more confident and beautiful. We love sending groups of girls pole dancing because they always come back with a smile on their face. They’ve pushed the boundaries of their normal experience and found they are capable of so much more. All that from a little ole pole! Not to mention the groom loves it when the bride pulls out her new moves on the honeymoon. =)

Not all pole dancing studios or the instructors teaching are created equal.  We work with a lot of vendors in California and Las Vegas. Through our experience here’s a list to keep in mind if you’re planning on taking a class:

      • Does your instructor do a warm-up and a cool-down? - Face it, we’re not all spring chickens. This is a very physical activity and should be approached with the proper respect
      • Do you go upside down your first class? – Not a great idea. There’s a progression that should be followed and rushing will hasten an injury.
      • How many poles does the studio have? – This is a good question but if they only have 3 don’t fret too much. More poles for larger groups means more time for each person. Less poles is still plenty of fun but if you have a chance, opt for more.

We make sure that all of our pole instructors provide a fun, safe environment for you to let loose in. You’ll find unique locations, crazy fun instructors, and a sense of empowerment with any of our pole dancing bachelorette packages.  Make sure your Maid of Honor checks these out when she plans your bachelorette party:

      San Diego

Miss Behave - Pole Lesson and Pin-up photo shoot

      San Francisco

Twirly Girlies – Pole Dancing Lesson & Boudoir photo shoot

      Los Angeles

Chocolate Stilettos – Pole dancing and Chocolate Tasting

      Orange County

Tasty Poles - cooking lesson and Pole Dancing Class

Bachelor Party Tip – Clubs. The truth about VIP

To roll like a Rockstar, you have to spend like a Rock Star. Everyone always asks us about getting VIP treatment in the clubs for their bachelor party. You can be a VIP if you spend enough. Most clubs we deal with have a VIP package. It usually involves VIP entry and a VIP area in the club with your own waitress; all for the cost of bottle service. Bottle Service? What’s that?

Bottle service is the cash cow of the clubbing industry. If you do bottle service you’re paying anywhere from $250 to $500 for a bottle of premium alcohol. The ratio usually runs 1 bottle must be purchased for every 4 guys. Girls get off a little easier with 1 bottle for ever 6 or 8 girls. If you’re a guy, you may not be able to get into a club at all without doing bottle service. It’s the club’s way of keeping the magic ratio of men to women. Cause no one wants to hang out with a bunch of dudes. =)

If you’re planning the bachelor party or bachelorette party, one easy way to stretch your dollars is to avoid the VIP treatment. It’s like having a star on Hollywood Blvd. You get some bragging rights, but you have to pony up the cash for the right(stars pay $25,000 dollars for the honor).
