What is your favorite trend for wedding cakes at the moment?
My favorite trend for wedding cakes this moment is tall and lean cakes with a different patterns and textures on each tier (such as damask, stripes, quilted look, etc). My other favorite thing is when the top tier is no bigger than about 4 inches and there is one big fat flower on the side of the top tier (instead of an entire bunch).
What is the most popular flavor for wedding cakes?
My most popular flavor would have to be “Brown Sugar Baby” which is Chocolate and Vanilla cake gently swirled together with a delicious chocolate fudge filling, finished of with a decadent not too sweet vanilla Buttercream Icing.
What FireFly package would you pick for your bachelorette party? – http://www.fireflygroupevents.com/girls/index.php
If I had to relive my bachelorette party again I would definitely want the Vegas package from FireFly. That is where my girls took me for my bachelorette party last April, and I must say it was unforgettable!!! I’d would love to go again!!
Name 3 famous people you’d invite on your bachelorette party? Why?
Hmmm… this is a hard question: Three famous people. I would have to pass on this one. I really cannot think of 3 people other than my bridesmaids that I could have chosen that could have made that weekend more memorable and outrageous than it already was!! =)
What’s your most outrageous wedding cake you have made?
A few weeks ago I did a wedding cake for a couple that was decked out from top to bottom including zebra print, butterflies, rhinestones, “sweet words” written on a tier, and hanging crystals. At first I wanted to make sure the groom was ok with this… and I asked him… and believe it or not he was probably the most excited about it! He even text messaged me a few days before their big day to tell me how excited he was to see it! What a sweet guy! Anything to make his bride happy =). And it turned out to be one wild, outrageous, and absolutely fabulous cake!
Which wedding are you: Beach, Mountain, Forest, or Countryside?
I would definitely be a forest wedding. This was part of the theme for my actual wedding day. My husband Chris loves spooky things, where as I being your typical girlie girl do not =). So I wanted our special day to be a union of our interests… hence our wedding theme: “Spooky Elegance”. Over our dance floor were black hanging branches with Swarovski crystals hanging from a few of the branches. The feel was to be as if you were dancing in the middle of a Spooky forest =)
If you could give one piece of wedding advice to a couple, what would that be………..?
WAIT TO GO ON YOUR HONEYMOON!!! You are so exhausted from all of the wedding madness it is hard to enjoy the next several days! Wait a week, or even a year so that you can look forward to its coming and be well rested!! And it keeps you motivated to not put back on the post wedding pounds if you have to be in a bikini =).

Melinda from Cake Goodness is a cake designing genius, in fact I think her company should be re-named Cake Goddess. Not only do her cakes look fabulous, they also taste amazing(James is addicted to her cake pops). If you ever need a cake, cookies or cake pops in Southern California, Melinda is the woman to go to. That includes having a gorgeous cake designed for your bachelorette party or bridal shower. She is beautiful on the inside and out and will custom design any cake you have in mind. The pictures speak for themselves, thank you Melinda for sharing.
